The public sector delivers a multitude of services to meet the needs of a wide cross-section of the community, whether consumers, businesses or voluntary groups, young or old, employed or unemployed.
The shaping and delivery of these services often depends on complex policy issues, multi-facetted partnerships and diverse funding mechanisms.
Working Word’s team has many years experience communicating clearly to stakeholders with an interest in the work of the public and not-for-profit sectors.
Over the years we have worked closely with public bodies such as ELWa*, the WDA*, Wales Tourist Board*, Careers Wales, the South East Wales Economic Forum and Newport Unlimited.
This has included media relations, the management and promotion of major events, corporate literature, strategic marketing and a wide range of marketing services.
During 2005-06 our projects include Skills Summit Wales 2005, the Lead On 2005 conference, the UK Senior Policewomen’s Conference, the EU Mobilising Experience conference and the European Foundation for Quality Management Forum, which attracted 600 senior EU business people.
We also represent key organisations and programmes which receive their funding from the public sector, for example the Ethnic Business Support Programme and Chwarae Teg, the women’s economic development organisation.
Not only have we the skills to deliver the public sector’s messages effectively to key audiences but we have a strong understanding of the principles of partnership, inclusivity and accountability that need to be communicated as part of those messages.
"Working Word adopt a proactive approach to their communications support. They have been able to advise us and implement a complex and varied programme to communicate our message and access a number of audiences successfully. Working Word have supported our whole communications process it is a real partnership in action."
Ruth Marks, Chief Executive of women’s economic development body Chwarae Teg (1997 - 2005)
