Communicating key messages to learners themselves, employers and many other stakeholders is crucial to the achievement of this goal.
Working Word’s team has extensive experience of serving the different elements of the learning and skills sector with PR, marketing and event management support.
We have delivered on-going programmes or bespoke projects for:
• Welsh Assembly Government (Department of Education Lifelong Learning and Skills, incorporating ELWa)
• General Teaching Council for Wales
• NIACE
• Cardiff University
• University of Wales Newport
• Knowledge Exploitation Fund
• Future Skills Wales Partnership
• Further education colleges
• Training Services Wales
• Talk Training
• Cardiff ITEC
• Acorn.
Our programmes have successfully targeted learners and prospective learners, employers, learning providers and the full range of partner bodies ensuring they are aware of and understand the issues and opportunities emerging in this exciting and often complex sector.
The work has included long and short-term media programmes and targeted events such as Skills Summit Wales 2005, which examined all of Wales’ skills needs, Lead On 2005, staged on behalf of six leading management development bodies and the EU Mobilising Experience conference 2005, designed to replicate good learning practice across Europe.
Our annual media campaign for Adult Learners Week in Wales received an award in the “Not for Profit” category of the PR industry’s annual Pride Awards 2004.
“Working Word PR has been working with the Wales Management Council since 2000 and has been involved at all stages of the Council’s launch and development. We have found the relationship productive and stimulating driven by their strong engagement and involvement in management and leadership issues. Working Word has raised the profile of the Council itself and the importance of management and leadership development in Wales.”
Christopher Ward,
Chief Executive Wales Management Council
