Mari Waddington - Account Director
Mari is a widely experienced professional who has distinguished herself in a variety of PR consultancy and in-house roles at Wales and UK levels, delivering campaigns for both public and private sectors. She has particular experience in the fields of economic development and learning and skills, having undertaken programmes for the WDA, the Assembly Government (AimHigher Wales), the further education sector and City & Guilds, for whom she provided strategic advice and briefing within a politically sensitive environment. She has worked closely with ministers, elected members and officials of central and devolved government in addition to a range of stakeholders. Mari, who is a fluent Welsh speaker, has won several national awards for her work.
A Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), Mari also holds a CIPR-accredited Post-Graduate Diploma from Cardiff University School of Journalism.
A word in your ear: Mari is from Romany gypsy heritage and once dined at The Wolseley on the table next to Wayne and Coleen Rooney, who were wearing shell suits.
