Eoghan Mortell - Managing Director
Eoghan established Working Word in 1999 after ten years in newspaper journalism, followed by 12 years in PR, both in-house and consultancy.
In journalism, he was involved in covering many different subject areas, including business, health, local government, environment, community affairs and economic regeneration. His PR career began in-house with CBI Wales and the South West and he subsequently created and delivered successful communications programmes for many leading clients in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
These strategic programmes have included both media relations and support activity such as promotional events, exhibitions, corporate literature, media training, internal communications and community relations.
Under his direction Working Word has grown to become one of Wales' largest PR businesses and consistently delivers award-winning campaigns and programmes for its clients.
A word in your ear: Eoghan started his career with a local newspaper in Pierce Brosnan's home town of Navan in Ireland. However in very un-Bond-like style he hitched lifts to meetings on the backs of tractors and conducted his in-depth research from the high street phone box, armed only with a pile of 5p pieces.
