South Wales accountancy firm boosts growing tax department
Elliot Buss, from St Mellons, Cardiff has joined the company as a tax manager and will work with a diverse client base advising both businesses and individuals how to put in place effective tax strategies, when it comes to extracting funds from their business and mitigating tax liability. He will also advise clients who are in the process of selling their business on the most tax efficient way to proceed.

He will also be responsible for developing new client relationships and, working alongside UHY Peacheys’ tax associate, Nigel Courtney, he will support the continued growth and prominence of the tax department.
The 27-year-old previously worked at BPU Chartered Accountants, where he spent nine years, having joined the company straight from school.
Elliot Buss said: “I am looking forward to playing an active role in growing the tax department which is gaining increasing recognition within the market place. In addition to my daily responsibilities of supporting personal and business clients, I will also be engaging potential new clients, demonstrating the benefits that the tax team can offer.
“I was aware that UHY Peacheys has experienced a continued growth for a number of years and its ambitious ethos attracted me to the firm. I was looking for a new career challenge and the chance to take more ownership of client relationships and develop new business. UHY Peacheys provided the perfect opportunity for that challenge.”
UHY Peacheys employs over 45 people at its Newport and Abergavenny offices. It has retained Investors in People (IIP) status for over ten years.
Speaking of Elliot’s appointment, managing partner at UHY Peacheys, Paul Byett said: “We have been pushing forward ambitious recruitment plans over the past two years and Elliot’s appointment is very much part of this growth strategy. We have an outstanding tax department and technical team with a wealth of experience and are placing a firm focus on expanding this division and emphasizing the value to existing and potential clients.”
