                        11/02/11

UHY Peacheys launches new division to target small businesses

Leading south Wales accountancy firm, UHY Peacheys, has launched a new division specifically to provide professional advice to business start-ups, partnerships and small but ambitious limited companies.

The ‘Essentials’ service from UHY Peacheys aims to fill the gap in the market that is often left between larger accountancy firms and smaller accountancy outfits.

Targeted at businesses that have ambitious growth plans and would benefit from strategic business advice and mentoring as well as traditional accountancy services, the division will be headed-up by UHY Peacheys’ business advisory manager, Neil Creswell in the Newport office and Val Stowell at the company’s Abergavenny branch.

Neil Creswell said: “There are hundreds of businesses across south Wales that would benefit from extra time to concentrate on their core activities as oppose to having valuable time taken up by administration. Essentials aims to free-up this time and offer a range of ‘pick and choose’ services as we know the needs of every company are different.

“The latest GDP figures suggest that the UK economy could be heading for a double-dip recession which means smaller companies will be squeezed even more than they already are and there will be greater need for them to keep a tighter grip on their finances.

“At UHY Peacheys we have a tradition of encouraging and helping our clients to reach their full business potential and Essentials will very much continue this at a competitive entry cost that is affordable to smaller companies.”

Both Neil and Val have more than 10 years experience working with companies of all sizes, offering customized advice and ensuring they are compliant with statutory financial obligations.
