M4 Business Network continues to grow amid economic uncertainty

The M4 Business Network has enjoyed resurgence in popularity, cementing itself as the key networking organisation for businesses along the M4 corridor despite the sluggish economic climate.

The Network has attracted new sponsors ahead of the launch of its programme for 2011 including Purnells Insolvency Practitioners, The Network was established in 1993 and hosts several breakfast events at the Celtic Manor resort, pulling in around 180 members at each event.

Since taking over as main sponsors in 2009, UHY Peacheys has secured high-profile speakers including Jonathan Davies, former-football referee Graham Poll, Gerald Ratner as well as former home secretary, David Blunkett.

Susan Purnell, licensed insolvency practitioner at Purnells and newest sponsor of the Network said: “For many years we have attended the M4 Business Network as guests and have always been impressed by the quality of speakers and their message to Welsh commerce. We are now proud sponsors and members, which will  strengthen our presence within the south Wales business community and allow us to provide valuable hospitality to our existing clients as well as prospective clients.”

Steve Sulley, chairman of the M4 Business Network and marketing partner at UHY Peacheys, said: “It’s been a tough year for businesses in Wales, with cuts in the public sector and general economic uncertainly. The M4 Business Network knows what affects companies in Wales. The breakfast events are always very well attended because they provide a real insight into these issues and remain relevant for local businesses.”

The M4 Business Network has established itself as the premier networking organisation in south Wales, attracting members from along the M4 corridor. Sponsors of the club include UHY Peacheys Chartered Accountants, the South Wales Argus, Working Word PR, Barclays Bank PLC, Simple Profitable Solutions, The Celtic Manor Resort, Stills Design, SRB Legal, and The University of Wales Newport.
