                        10/12/10

HR and training firm strikes gold and appoints new director

Outsourced training and HR consultancy 4ward Development is continuing its expansion with the addition of a well-respected member of the Welsh business community to its board of directors.

Simon Goldsworthy, 47, has joined the Llantarnam-based firm as a director and will oversee the planned growth of its business services division.

Simon has 25 years experience in global HR management and his impressive portfolio includes HR Director roles at Technicolor, Grundig and Hitachi, with his most recent post as managing partner at Midas People Management.  His areas of expertise include employee relations, recruitment, business leadership and management development.

Simon’s appointment will strengthen the management team and help 4ward Development capitalise on growth opportunities in a variety of sectors. He will further strengthen the company, which currently has a turnover of £5 million, and spearhead plans for ambitious expansion.

                        Simon said:

“4ward Development has made a significant impact in the marketplace since setting up only 18 months ago, and I am looking forward to the next stage of growth. The firm has secured an impressive and diverse client base, including Admiral, Confused.com, GoCompare.com and international marine group Harris Pye, by tailoring services to individual client needs.

“My vision is to widen the services we offer and build on our reputation as experts and trusted partners.”

Aside from his role as director at 4ward Development, Simon is a trustee of local charity Garnwen Trust, which works with youth projects in Bridgend.

Janet Hay, director at 4ward Development said:

“It’s a real coup to have secured Simon’s expertise and commitment. He has a great deal of experience with a proven track record of success. He will be pivotal in further strengthening our position in the market and in achieving our ambitious growth plans over the next year.”
