Shadow Chancellor #AskGeorge sets out plans at Cardiff Waterside’s 3 Assembly Square
Shadow Chancellor George Osborne yesterday (11th February 2010) set out his plans for the future of the Welsh and British economies in what was claimed to be one of the first ever live online and audience question and answer events by a UK political party.

The event was held at the recently completed BREEAM Excellent 3 Assembly Square on Britannia Quay, part of the Cardiff Waterside estate; the building is the new home to leading Welsh professional firms M&A Solicitors, Midas People Management and Gambit Corporate Finance.
Around 100 business people from across south Wales- as well as a live Internet audience- heard Osborne answer questions on subjects including an internationally agreed bank levy, National Insurance contributions for small businesses, green investment and Severn Bridge tolls.
The event was broadcast live online with questions being posed from the assembled audience and through Facebook and Twitter. Twitter users contributed by posting the reference #AskGeorge, with the topic becoming one of the highest trended on the social network during the event.
Christian Millard, Asset Manager at Cardiff Waterside for Knight Frank, said: "We were pleased to host Mr. Osborne and his interactive #AskGeorge session, as we would be with any of the main political parties. 3 Assembly Square is Cardiff's flagship office building, a fitting venue for this high profile business event, being located in Cardiff Bay, the historical home of the Welsh economy."

Stephen Berry, Managing Partner at M&A Solicitors, said: "We were delighted to co-host the event. It was great to see so many of the region's business big hitters in one place, especially when it's one we at M&A Solicitors call home. The opportunity to be involved in this event further highlights the good decision we made in relocating to 3 Assembly Square which is right at the heart of business and political life in Cardiff and Wales."
Cardiff Waterside comprises over 540,000 sq ft of contemporary office space encompassed in a selection of eight flexible offices at the cutting edge of design. Planning consent has been granted for another 460,000 sq ft.
Knight Frank and Cooke and Arkwright are joint letting agents for Cardiff Waterside.
