New guide aims to help M&E contractors cut costs

A leading building services specialist has launched a guide to help M&E contractors reduce costs by streamlining supply chains.

The guide marks the first time the SCS Group has brought together its building management, passive ventilation and smoke control product ranges into one easy-to-use brochure, following the merging of the former SCS Automation and Smoke Control Services companies.

The move has united the group's smoke control, passive ventilation, control and automation and consultancy divisions with the aim of making projects easier for mechanical and electrical contractors.

This created the UK's first one stop shop for the design, manufacture and installation of systems for ventilation, smoke control and building management and SCS Group now offers integrated control solutions to the M&E sector for a range of building services needs.

Amongst the over 200 products featured in the new brochure are smoke and fire curtains, solar powered passive ventilation terminals and Danfoss inverter drives.

                          Managing Director Allan Meek said:
"Increasingly M&E clients want specialist suppliers with the expertise to deliver holistic solutions and our approach and transparent pricing policy means cost savings and reduced installation time, ultimately helping customers boost profits.

"All of our products are available as a complete design, supply and installation package delivered by award-winning project management teams who are dedicated to giving the best customer service in the industry.

"Our engineers can offer advice and guidance on systems and product selection and we also offer a range of technical seminars free of charge to make it as easy as possible for customers to make the right choices for their needs."

SCS Group has a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Dorset and a national network of fully qualified project engineers. Its systems have been installed in thousands of landmark buildings nationwide including the London Transport Museum and London's biggest shopping centre Westfield.

The firm has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, innovation and quality, and secured industry recognition at the 2008 Construction News Specialists Awards and 2005 Building Services Awards.

The new guide is available to download from www.groupscs.co.uk or by emailing l.umbleja@groupscs.co.uk or calling 01443 811 616.
