Don't Forget to Retune!Freeview viewers in Wales reminded to retune to keep on watching S4C

S4C is reminding all Freeview viewers across Wales to retune their box or TV on or after September 9 so they can carry on enjoying the Channel's programmes.

Freeview viewers will also have retune when their local transmitter changes to digital.

Everyone in Wales will be watching digital television by March 2010. The traditional analogue TV signal is being switched off and in its place a new, stronger digital TV signal is being broadcast.

After switchover, S4C will be a wholly Welsh language channel.  The analogue service, which broadcasts Channel 4 programmes, will cease, as for the first time Channel 4 becomes available to almost every home in Wales via digital.

S4C is working closely with Digital UK, the independent body responsible for digital switchover, to help explain how the change will affect everyone.

Viewers can contact the S4C Viewers' Hotline with any enquiries on 0870 6004141 or visit s4c.co.uk/digital.
