Working Word marks tenth anniversary with new contracts, awards and continued growth
Leading Welsh public relations agency, Working Word PR, has marked its tenth anniversary in business with sustained growth in fee income, despite the pressures of the recession.
The agency, which reaches the milestone this month, has continued to secure major contracts to deliver communications programmes for clients across several different sectors.
Working Word was recently appointed to provide PR support for the Assembly Government's Department for Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills and has also been engaged by Welsh language television channel S4C to make communities across Wales aware of the Digital Switchover in the coming months. Other contracts have recently been secured from clients in the financial services, IT and construction sectors.
The firm's financial year ends on August 31st and it is on target to record a 15% increase in fee income over this period. It has also made three key appointments, boosting the number of professional staff to 14.
In addition, the company marked its tenth anniversary year by achieving the Chartered Institute of Public Relations ‘Outstanding Consultancy of the Year' award for Wales and securing the respected Investors in People (IIP) standard.
Its recent move to Cardiff city centre offices is designed to strengthen support for clients as the company expands and diversifies its range of PR and other marketing communications services.
Working Word managing director Eoghan Mortell said; "We are very pleased to have reached this milestone and are privileged to work for so many top quality clients. A significant proportion of these have been with us since the early days of the firm and that reflects our team's ability to deliver results and adapt programmes to meet changing client objectives.
"In difficult market conditions it is essential that businesses get maximum value from their investment in public relations and marketing. We ensure they get that return by investing consistently in the skills of our team and by finding creative solutions to meet clients' needs. That includes strategic use of both traditional and new media to reach audiences in a more targeted way.
"The recession does present many challenges but I believe we have the calibre of staff to continue our progress into a new decade and attract many more dynamic and ambitious clients," he added.
